Of Gardens and Graves is the continuation of the grand adventure that began with A Kingdom of Shadows where a band of misfits seek to fight the darkness that's slowly overcoming their kingdom—written in the tradition of The Chronicles of Narnia and the Wingfeather Saga.

Things have been quiet for the Lightseekers since they have returned from their quest to find the fathomed Lake of Light. But Finn and his sister Lydia are feeling restless, eager for Ehrit to fulfil his promise to help them find and reunite with their mother—a woman who they only have a song and a clay rabbit to remember her by.

As the shadows continue to deepen and the General's lies further consume the Kingdom of Wildfel, Ehrit proposes a new quest: To collect seeds of light from the Morning Tree and plant gardens that will begin to reverse the deadly effects of the Great Betrayal and bring back the rightful king's reign.
